This track is a tribute to Fremantle, Western Australia. One of my favorite place in the world so far. I've lived there for about a year in total and I still think about Freo everyday.

I started writing the chords and some lyrics to this song when I was busking in Freo and Perth. After traveling around I returned and started adding other parts and lyrics to it, really indulging the idea that this might become an actual song about Fremantle. When I moved to Amsterdam I finished writing the song and made different demos for about a year. Now the process is finished, and here it is.

The title of the song refers to the heavy Western Australian winds. Locals often catch a cold because it's warm in the Sun but after Sundown it cools off. That's why they ironically call these winds: 'The Fremantle Doctor'.
The Giraffes I mention in the song are referring to the big cranes in the Fremantle ports. Many cruise ships and container ships pass through these ports and so on some of the beaches these 'Giraffes' (as the locals call them) appear on the horizon. During Sundown it always looked beautiful.
